Well, last week Friday I woke up and told Darin that I wanted to paint. I was originally going to wait until Spring when it warms up (yeah, right) so that I could open windows when I paint. I quickly learned that many people here paint in the middle of winter. Fumes....who cares! It's not that bad they tell me. You can hardly smell it. So, last Friday I decided that day that I was going to paint. I wrote down the paint colors and Darin took off to Home Depot to purchase the paint. I went with a Khaki green color (same color we used in our living room in Yakima) for the living room/kitchen because there is not ending point between the two rooms. I did paint the walls around the bay windows in the kitchen a brick red color along with one wall in the living room. I wasn't sure about it at first, but now I love it. Darin really likes it too. Anyway, here's a couple pictures of the red. I would post pictures of the living room wall color, but you can't really tell what color it is in the picture. I do have to say though that they were right. You hardly smell the paint. It at least gave me something to do to fill these long winter days.
